Tips for rescued animals

Thank you Waldo’s Friends and Mimi Tiu!

PPAR truly appreciates the support of fellow animal rescue groups, rescuers and animal-lovers to continue our work helping rescued cats and fostering compassion for animals among the general public. In this context, we want to give huge thanks to Waldo’s Friends from Australia and Ms. Mimi Tiu for contacting us and writing a lovely article about the PPAR Shelter.

Waldo’s Friends is an online store designed to create awareness and raise funds for animal rescue through ethically produced goods that you can enjoy. The idea for Waldo’s Friends was born when its founders adopted their first cat and dog in late 2017. It was around the same time that a few of their friends adopted their own special buddies from animal rescue shelters. Within the span of one year, the founders of Waldo’s Friends came to know and love seven animals (all found or abandoned) from local shelters full of great people doing exceptional work. Sadly, not all animals left behind by selfish owners get this lucky … but the good news is that more people care now than ever before, and Waldo’s Friends care not just for rescued animals, but also for those that are struggling in the wild. Waldo’s Friends is a project designed to bring together the worlds of animal rescue and environmentally sustainable business practices. To that end, Waldo’s Friends hopes to sell ethically sourced and carbon neutral products, giving back to the rescue shelters who protect and serve our furry friends.

Ms. Mimi Tiu is a freelance editor based in the Philippines and a proud paw aunt to a family of Terriers and a Ragdoll-Persian cat. When she is not creating meaningful content for Waldo’s Friends, she finds pleasure in chronicling her ice cream discoveries and coming up with meticulously detailed plans for her next getaway.
